Had Valentine’s reservations here and it was packed but we were seated very quickly. Despite how slammed I’m sure the staff was, our food came out within very reasonable time. Everything was delicious. The menu was of course limited due to the “holiday” so I had to go out of my comfort zone and order something I don’t usually get. The fried burratta was to die for and the short ribs over pasta were spectacular. The service was great and the staff was very kind. A nice gentleman who I’m sure was the owner thanked us for coming and gave my wife a rose on the way out. We will definitely return. 10/10.
What an unexpected surprise in Hillsborough! We hadn’t been back to Cafe Piazza in 20 years - and the food and service did not disappoint. From the fried eggplant to the beef short ribs, we ate some of the BEST Italian food in a long time. And the best part…it was BYOB! As long time residents, I must say, Cafe Piazza is a gem. I highly recommend them!

Perfect date night place! Their complimentary bread was fresh and yummy! The staff is very welcome, quick service, and lovely music in the background. The gnocchi was well seasoned and perfectly baked. We got the delicious zucchini which was great too! The tiramisu was the winner. Best ever we had.
Been going here for years and Tony and is son Gregorio and daughters are truly amazing. We had our daughters and son’s communion dinner. We had the private room and the space is perfect for private event. More importantly is how amazing they are. They treat you like family and the food is incredible. Would recommend to anyone looking for dinner out, private event or catering you will not be disappointed. Thank you again your all the best
Received a personal explanation of sauces. Antonio’s personal tutorial was my greatest experience ever from a chef. Food was phenomenal and I highly recommend going there to eat. Dont be shy to ask how a born Italian makes their dishes. He’s not afraid to share them. Love them to the fullest.
Hosted my son's First Communion lunch at Caffe Piazza. Antonio and his team were so awesome from first email contact to the time our party ended. Antonio was prompt and responsive upon inquiry about party menus. On the day of our event, everything was truly excellent. Upon arrival, the guests were greeted and the first course was ready. We brought our own wine, beer, and desserts. The staff took everything off my hands, set up the drinks on ice and arranged all the desserts nicely. I really did not lift a finger and was truly able to enjoy hosting a party. Each course was excellent. Fresh, simple but quality ingredients make such a difference. Our family consists of many foodies and home cooks and Antonio gladly educated us on Italian cooking techniques and ingredient choices. Our guests enjoyed the food and beautiful space. Will definitely book our special events with Antonio and his team again and again! Thanks Antonio and Family! We had a wonderful time! See you next time!
Attended a party there on June 20. My first-time visit. So impressed by the comfortable atmosphere. The food was excellent. Service also superb. Being a Hillsborough resident, I am sure we will return. Thank you for a great evening.
We had an absolutely incredible dining experience at Cafe Piazza! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with incredibly warm and welcoming service that set the tone for the entire evening. The food was outstanding—everything tasted exceptionally fresh and bursting with flavor. We started with the burrata and cheese board, which was the perfect opening act. For our main courses, the Pasta alla Nonna and the pappardelle with shrimp and lump crab were both executed flawlessly. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients in every bite. What made the night even more special was the owner, Antonio. He was incredibly personable and attentive, checking in on us throughout the night to ensure everything was perfect. That kind of genuine hospitality is rare and made us feel right at home. If you are looking for phenomenal Italian food and top-notch service, this is it. We will definitely be back soon!
Long overdue in sharing this review! I had my daughter's Bridal Shower at Caffe Piazza and it was everything we could have hoped for. Gregory and Antonio are welcoming and warm and provided an incredible experience. People are still talking about how great and plentiful the food was! I loved that the food was served family style! We started with appetizers and then the meal was Chicken Francese, Penne Vodka and their delicious Meatballs. (Some of our favorites from coming here and catering holidays here for many years!) And don't get me started about the pastries that they provided for dessert! Antonio taught all of our guests how to make limoncello and that was one of the highlights of the afternoon! Such a special day! Such a special restaurant!
